Key takeaways

  • Le Falcone plans its first retail store at City Walk in Dubai; no opening date was given.
  • The UAE-based company brings more than five decades of perfume-manufacturing experience to the move.
  • Director Azhar Akbar Mun said the UAE is the immediate market priority.
  • Fragrance development can take several months to a year, including testing and packaging work.

After more than five decades in perfume manufacturing, Le Falcone is preparing to put its fragrances in front of shoppers in a different way: through its own store. The UAE-based company plans to open its first retail outlet at Dubai’s City Walk, moving beyond making perfumes to selling them directly in a dedicated space, according to Khaleej Times.

The opening will gather the company’s fragrance portfolio under one roof. For Le Falcone, the change is not simply a new address. It marks a move from work largely carried out behind the scenes into a business where customers can encounter the brand and its products together. The source report did not give an opening date.

A home-market starting point

Azhar Akbar Mun, a director of Le Falcone, identified the location as City Walk 2 and said the UAE would be the company’s immediate priority. He described the store as an important moment for a business whose experience has centred on developing and manufacturing fragrances. The plan is to use that background as the foundation for a stronger presence with consumers, starting in its home market rather than outlining a wider geographical rollout.

“Our immediate focus is the UAE” — Azhar Akbar Mun, director of Le Falcone.

Mun framed the move as a change in how people will know the company. Making perfumes remains its starting point, but the retail venture is intended to build a brand that customers can experience and remember. That gives the first shop a role beyond displaying bottles: it will be the company’s first dedicated retail setting for bringing its fragrance range directly to consumers.

From travel memories to the shelf

The products arriving in that setting draw their concepts from travel, history, music and cultural traditions. The Cleopatra collection grew out of a trip to Egypt, while a family visit to Greece inspired Muharib. Symphony takes its cue from Salzburg in Austria, and Risala draws on Arabic calligraphy. Those references shape both the fragrances and the way they are presented.

Turning a concept into a finished product can take several months and sometimes as long as a year, the company said. That work includes adjusting formulas, testing the perfume and refining its packaging. Development also considers how long a fragrance lasts and how its scent spreads, rather than treating the initial smell as the only measure of the product.

Packaging is developed alongside the perfume. Mun said the visual presentation, the idea behind a fragrance and its ingredients need to fit together, from the first impression through to the scent left after it settles. The company also draws its name and brand identity from the falcon, associating it with precision, discipline and mastery.

The next step is the City Walk opening itself. It will turn Le Falcone’s stated retail ambition into a place where shoppers can try its portfolio together. With the UAE named as its immediate focus, the company’s transition from manufacturer to a consumer-facing fragrance brand begins at home.
